I'll play with my first computer over time, including disabling Panda. I'd really like the software to be on my main computer.
Many thanks...maybe Panda is my problem....

Congrats!!!!!! I'm so happy for you! I always get sad to see people get frustrated with the software. Sounds like the problem is your antivirus.

Now breathe easy and enjoy your new toy

I tried disabling Panda on my original computer...no luck. The software still doesn't work.

Hrmm, weird. Something on your computer is blocking it, and usually the big contenders are firewall, antivirus, and the DEP.

Well, my suggestion is take a breather, then play around with it another day, or use the other computer to buy Sony books and use your main computer for non DRM books using the software Calibre (free!)

I'm having issues too. I got a replacement reader for Christmas (red ps600), as my last (black)one was stolen. The books load fine and everything, but the font size will not change bigger than small unless there is a link (like a chapter section) on the page. Please help!! How can I make the font bigger?? does it have to do with the epub message I got when I went to load the books???

Norton could be the culprit. I've had software fail to open because it was being blocked by it. In my opinion, if you plan on purchasing things online, it's probably best to have the Sony software on a computer that has some sort of anti-virus going. Check your configurations on your Norton to see if anything helps.

Since installing and erasing the Sony reader software, and tweeking with my computer to get it to (not) work, my computer is now doing funny things. Occaisionally as I boot it, I get a message that windows has recovered from a serious error. It says there is something wrong with file nv4_disp, it was stuck in an infinite loop, and dumped physical memory. None of this was happening before trying to install the Reader software. Anyone know what this means? Is my computer faulty and causing the software to fail, or is the software fouling up my computer? Needless to say, it's all Greek to me...

The file looks like it is an nvidia display driver. Try updating the srivers for your video card. I don't understand why this should be linked to the Sony reader, but it's worth a shot.

I have the same problem. I have tried to install it on my desktop which uses xp, and my laptop which uses vista, and it still wont work.
Going to give it a few more attempts, then take the reader prs-600 back to the sony shop.
