Trouble i have with tags on mp3, it's that the tags never are what they should be. And trying to fix the tags is an impossible mission.

I use Mobi2Mobi to edit in my metadata and cover art, Calibre to swap between ePub and Mobi (and to do a ranking/series entry), BookDesigner and Mobipocket Creator to transform to mobi and the various python scripts to remove DRM - and I'm quite happy! I just wanted to ensure that Bookeen didn't rest on its laurels.

Many libraries in my country - using databases - have re-remade indexes using multi-category (because classification based only on one subject is quite fuzzy) along with full text search ( in metadata).

we must not forget that tags (or multicategory) are a mere tool - isn't good or evil itself - thus can be used wisely (few and well thought tags) or abusing it (tag sprawl).

ok it's a matter of personal taste but for me I can say that with >200 books a folder nav doesn't work as I want.

Also tags and a hierarchy folder nav can be implemented in the same system and this provide a quite useful tool ( this is the way most content management software -ECM - is built around ).

bye

When I buy a book proposed in multiformat, I try Mobipocket, but if it's not so great (and it's pretty often the case !), I choose the Microsoft Reader (LIT) one, as I think it's the better to be converted !
Then ConvertLit, and Mobipocket Creator !
I use Mobi2Mobi too, for Mobipocket ones lacking of cover, or title, or author.
As I have a PRS600 too, I use Python script to strip DRMs, from Mobi, Kindle, ePub or PDF, when I want to read my ebooks on the other device !

A lot of work, yes, but only every now and then, when needed (I don't convert/strip DRM if I don't need to, I'm not against reading DRMed books on my readers ! )

I see that we work the same way , but I strip ALL the DRM, I want to be able read them ALWAYS, and I don't trust on stores/servers/DRM schemes.

And I use calibre to covert from mobi to OEB beacuse I use to change some parameters in the book.

Terisa,

I've got 2 K2s, 1 Gen3, 1 PRS-500, an iPod Touch, two WinMobile PDAs and three desk/laptop computers. I can't take any chances - like you *EVERYTHING* I buy goes throug the DRM-stripping process! I refuse to be held hostage - who knows, I might luck into an Apple iSlate!
