Yes, the hyphenation works on FBReader for all the formats read by FBReader! CSS is ignored in FBReader. Instead your own configuration is used!

ADE does of course have page numbers. FBReader doesn't display them because - well, it's not ADE .

They force you to have an outragously large margin, or overlaps on text usually.

Yes, ADE has the usual page numbers. And, unfortunately, the Pocketbook does not appear to use the margins specified in the book, so they do overlap the text. It's not a major problem, but it is slightly annoying.

Yeah, my opus did that too. I wish adobe would get rid of these. (But i love page count on the statut bar)

Our member SciFiFan has compiled his own version of FBReader. It has page turning by use of accelerometer, it has page break before chapter, and ... drum-roll ... it has hyphenation only for words at least 8 characters long.

Yes I am a big fan of FBReader, just got it all set up nicely with the font I like best so far (Andika Basic, TTF from my Win PC) and is such a comfortable read with my .epub files.

I like to look at the status bar periodically to get an idea for where I am in the book - ie how much more I have to read. But otherwise I like to press a button and have it hidden away so I can focus just on the text itself.

In case anyone else wants to know, hiding the status bar can be done via:

Menu | Settings | Key Mapping | Appearance | Hide Panel

Assign this to a button and when in FBReader use it to show/hide the status bar at will.

The opus and gen can get rid of ther status bar. So it's not an ade stuff, like these silly page number.

I am so impressed with the FBReader I must say, it really works great.

But what I like the most is that 1. I can bookmark my books with one click (I used the keymap function to allocate the bookmarking to one key) 2. I can keymap any button 3. I have epub as well as prc files, and it is just so comfortable to be able to read both on the same reader without any problem. Speaking of which, I opened a DJVu file with the pb yesterday, and it displayed it perfectly. I am just soooooo impressed !!!

I do - I gain a whole line of text which appears right at the bottom when I switch my status bar off.

Maybe it is dependent on page settings. I have font size 34, line spacing 100 and page margins set to small. It seems to work with all the different fonts I try to, although I use Andika Basic at the moment.
