Kindle DX now on backorder!!! - Page 2

I'm hoping that this is simply an indication of a new model. That will make the extra wait worth it.

PVI said that their plastic screens will be ready in the Spring (they're the same size as the KDX screen). I'd be surprised to see Amazon release an International version around February, only to release a plastic version a couple months later.

I think its definitely because of a new unit. I wrote to them about an international DX and this is what they wrote back

"We expect to add a Kindle DX with international capabilities to the Kindle family some time next year."

Now I know that gives them a whole year of scope, but why continue to make a unit that they know will be deleted. Who knows.
