I can't see why Hamilton's Misspent Youth is going for $26 at most ebook shops I looked at. There's no way I'll pay that much.

Smashwords has a few sci/fi authors you might like (their selection is small) A few of the authors have up a free book for the first in the series so you can download without fear of wasting money:

Randolph LaLonde (some of his are free, some not.)

Terry Erwin (Flank Hawk--it was free, it's now $1.99) Other books by Gryphonwood Press will fit into sci/fi and be available to UK.

Not on smashwords, but if you like funny sci/fi opera, check out the Hal Spacejock series (the first one is free downloadable from Simon Haynes website.)

And this is why the piracy is so big - some websites will sell hundreds of current books for the price of a CD

This seems to explain things better and have a good philosophy
