In spite of what everybody says, in another 3 months my Cybook is going to celebrate his second anniversary... And it is running very well..

I read on it a few hours every day, it never freezes (Since Harry told me 18 months ago how to safely eject it from my computer) I love it!!!

All my books have been bought from Fictionwise, no problems at all!!!


Would I like a new firmware with folders ???? Yes

But I do not let that distract me from the main objective which is reading... And that part, the Cybook fulfills all my expectations !!!

Nope technicaly, it's a hardware bug, that can be resolved by software (that what my source said to me) and it's not related with page turn, but with others things related with power managment, and it took them a very long time to find the origin of the bug, and how to correct it

Sorry, but I'm delighted with mine. It works perfectly. It freezes sometimes, but then I had a Windows 1995 computer that froze sometimes ...

It seems to me that the Gen3 had problems the Opus doesn't have.

I got my Opus last month and it still freezes. I don't know if I got a slightly older unit but be prepared that a new Opus might still freeze.

Just checked. Mine is also 1.9 build 942. Guess Expansys had some old stock when I ordered mine. Or perhaps it's only those ordered directly from Bookeen that have the latest FW.
