True. Hadn't thought of using this analysis to rate the device, Thanks.

Nick: Although I agree that larger booksellers get better deals from publishers, I don't believe it's in easing geographic restrictions. That's based on the contract between the publisher & author so the publisher can't 'ease' the restrictions for one bookseller while tightening them for another. The most they could do is selective enforcement-the restrictions would still be legally binding but, as with most laws, it's up to the 'authorities' to decide when to enforce them.

They *might* be doing that, but I doubt it-doing more than very occasionally would show a pattern of behavior that would be actionable. (Very occiasional non-enforcement can be blamed on oversight/carelessness, etc. That might not be the truth, but unless you can bug their offices you can't prove it except by proving a pattern.)
