Classic Nook Feature Wish List - Page 2

- folder support (claiming to hold 1500 books (and a MicroSD slot) and not having one of the most basic organization tools known to man is absurd)
-sort, search and show covers option for My Documents
- pick font sizes by pts (e.g. 12pts instead of medium, 8pts instead of extra small)
- web browser & RSS
- e-mail (especially gmail, since this is android based afterall)
- no time limit on in-store browsing (A book limit is preferable if there MUST be a limit)
- easily remove content from B&N purchases (especially free samples and google books)
- A Go-To a specific page number option (both My Documents and B&N)
- Microsoft Office file reader
- WLAN file sharing support
- look up words in the dictionary by typing them (the current selection process is painful)
- upload font files form computer
- more owner information (i.e. be able to save name, address, phone number on the device in case it's lost)
- apps support
- better battery management options (auto turn off wifi and such)

Web browser and RSS are unlikely since B&N are selling eNewspapers and eMagazine and most of the content of those is available online for free. But most of the other requests are doable (and quite a few of those features have already been created on the android platform)

I have to put my finger on the internet, the Battery Management, and the Email.

These are likely to appear in it's later lifespan.

The biggest thing for me is a way to sort side loaded books. I refuse to buy any books from B&N even though their books can be sorted as my way of protest. Luckily Sony ePub books look great on the nook. They also need to fix the issue with bookmarks. I am tired of having to pick out a obscure word or phrase on the book I am reading so I can do a search for that word to get to the last page I am reading.

I am attracted to the nook for one reason only....the display screen at the bottom. (yes I know it is a silly reason) If I could see book covers from ebooks purchased from other sources such as sony or BOB I would buy the nook in a heartbeat.

I agree that the number 1 enhancement needed is the ability to group books (B&N loaded and sideloaded) into folders. If I really want to use the nook to hold over 50 books there must be some way to organize them.

There should also be an easy to use sorting function so I can sort my books by when they were last opened. One of the great uses of an ebook reader is the ability to be reading multiple books, but having to find the books currently being read from a long linear list is a real pain.

I would also like to have some way to send my notes back to my computer via my wireless network. It makes no sense that I can enter notes and then have no way to easily move them off the nook.

I have a much simpler request! A way for the Nook to get the time off NTP servers over Wi-Fi and/or allow us to manually set it, without relying on the cellphone network. Yes, you guessed it right, I am not in the US.

I just brought a nook which is way better then the first review read here and there

I'm lacking first of all :

- goto specific page number
- rotate screen
- zoom/pan pdf (it was great on the DR1000)
- as crod said earlier, we lack the ability to set time manually for international users

For sure many more would be great but let's prioritize this

Evidently Ellen DeGeneres' Nook already has that feature.
