iRex have announced their colour eInk for 2011, and they're probably as far advanced with it as anybody. I seriously doubt that we'll see anything in 2010.

The devices that will be available at the end of 2010 will be larger sized, touch screen, and marketed for businesses.

I agree with sweetpea. I think the B&W market will expand, and by the end of 2010 we'll start seeing more reports of color devices that will go to market "any time now" (ala Plastic Logic), but I think it will be 2011 or 2012 before we see a mainstream color device.

Keep an eye on Qualcomm's Mirasol technology.

I'm also jealous of kazbates, and look forward to hearing her report.

Not in color e-ink. But a bunch of color tablets will appear and people will start using those to read books and especially magazines. Mobile TV, mobile internet and color magazine in electronic form will push the success of the tablets very quickly.

I really hope so... That would mean the average price would go down...

I'm not much of a magazine buyer. I get frustrated with the pages upon pages of advertisements in something for which I had to pay (one of the main reasons I would rather watch a television show on the Internet). If the advertisements would disappear from the digital version, I might be interested in investing in a color display of some sort. For strictly novel reading, which is my main use for my reader, though, color is superfluous.

I'm not saying I wouldn't put in my request for one if I like something I see at the CES. I am a gadget ho', afterall.
