Nice!
Beside durability and reduced weight what are the advantages of plastic screen? |

I am very pleased with Pocketbook 301+. Outstanding ebook reader, but the screen too small for PDF files. Looking forward Pocketbook 901/902.

Interesting alternative to PlasticLogic Que, now I'm hesitant which one to go for.

Plastic Logic is supposed to have touch screen and WiFi. So maybe the B2B model mentioned to come out at a later date may be comparable, but not this one.

Well, never dismantled an ereader (on my Sony it appears to be just one layer), if that is as you say then there obviously is nothing to worry about. I thought there was only one screen layer.

No. The actual image is displayed on a very, very thin glass screen. On top of that there's a thick protective layer of plastic. It's that "inner" layer of glass which so easily fractures if a device is subject to a shock or a twisting force which is being replaced by plastic, which should be a lot tougher. It will have no impact upon what you see on the "outside".

it's a 'nice' looking device, though larger than i would favour.
( similar to many others in design, are they not 'inconvenient' for use by left-handers ? ) |

![]() But i guess that with a 9", you are requierred to use both hand anyway. And i never had much problem with using the right hand to turn page. |

It just seems so wrong, but that's because I'm left-handed. My teachers tried to beat this out of me (using only loud words and reprimands when I was a child - no actual physical hitting - but I continued to struggle through in a world of right-handed school desks). That's why the first and last units look so horribly, horribly wrong to me. (Even if you turned the text upside down, the letters of the unit would be upside down, which is not pleasing to me.)
