Umm, when you connect to your machine before running calibre, just open thd kindle folder, open the documents folder and delete the "news" folder that caibre creates or you can open news and delete selected news files.

I just delete the whole thing every day before I run calibre to get the new days worth. Takes about 2 seconds for the whole mess.

Thanks I usually only delete books or book samples after I'm finished reading them, and sometimes do a purge when I have calibre open anyway.

I don't use my Kindle for news - I've asked for a recipe for a couple of Danish papers, but they been added - yet (I don't know if there might be a problem with their RSS feeds...) So I still read news on my desktop computer.
