It doesn't sound as if ardeegee has read any romance at all - or erotica/porn for that matter? Else he/she would have known the difference
![]() For those interested in romance, you may be interested in "Beyond Heaving Bosoms" - a fun and intelligent look at romance novels, what they are and why they're read. http://www.smartbitchestrashybooks.com/index.php/book/ |

Here you can find info about some romance Freebies. I haven't read the Rat Catcher, but I read Black Silk and I liked it a lot.

![]() I liked the 'Outlander' series, which I would consider 'romance'. It's great fun, and Gabaldon is an entertaining story-teller. |

She might like Fiddler Fair and The Lark and the Wren by Mercedes Lackey from the Baen Free library. From Webscription.net, bearing in Mind the Dragons, I'd suggest Dragonne's Eg For Romance, how about checking out eHarlequin? http://www.eharlequin.com/ |

Robin Hobb is a fantasy/romance author I like. I believe all or most of her books are available in e-form. Fictionwise has them. The Liveship traders trilogy has dragons, but it might be better (though not mandatory) to read the Farseer trilogy first. She seems to like trilogies

For free romance there's http://www.everyonesreading.com and http://www.harlequincelebrates.com (That's Mills & Boon and Harlequin, respectively) and http://www.allromanceebooks.com/category180.html has a list of free offerings from a number of different epublishers.
There are a number of discounted full-length novels from Grand Central each month, those are available at various e-tailers. Here's December's list: * Orcs by Stan Nicholls $1.00 * Pitch Black by Susan Crandall $1.99 * Seeing Red by Susan Crandall $1.99 * Bad News by Donald E. Westlake $1.99 * Dark Harbor by David Hosp $1.99 * The New Centurions by Joseph Wambaugh $1.99 * Deception by Denise Mina I'd also suggest checking out http://www.smartbitchestrashybooks.com and www.dearauthor.com - two romance focused review/discussion blogs that love ebooks. As an aside, if she's going to rock the Harlequin or M&B, their pdf format is tough to read on a Sony. I buy my books in MS reader from them, use ConvertLit to remove the drm, then convert to epub in Calibre. I find that yields the most readable book. May be of questionable legality depending on where you live. Last edited by Ridley; 12-07-2009 at 09:52 PM. |
