maybe you all know this, but Tuesday is the accepted Hollywood new release date for most music and videos on dvd. new book releases as well. if retailer sells before the date, they can be fined or lose fast access to new releases. retailers of this kind of stuff are therefore maniacally focused on getting new product out at store open on Tuesdays. I'm sure Amazon is just piggy-backing other releases onto the Tuesday-focused release processes enforced by Hollywood et al.

Yeah, I know about the Entertainment Tuesday releases (I'm in the Entertainment Industry). It was more about the run of Tuesdays that not just the occasional Tuesday. BTW, Kindle for iPhone went international on a Monday so they don't always stick to *my* Tuesday schedule.

I run VMWare in the unified mode and Kindle for PC works like a Mac application. Sure, I have to remember to start up VMWare but since I use mostly PC apps on my MacBook it's the first thing I do.
