Are you really sure that this is not the extra credit card verification you get with some books?
Have you tried using the www.hidemyass.com site to go to your bookshelf? If this is the extra credit card verification it should be gone if you use the hidemyass site.

Already tried that, but it is still there. If they are going to start imposing cc verification for formats other than ereader, they need to make it clearer.

Yippee! Refreshed my bookshelf just now and it is now in the correct format. I know they sort it out, but there has to be something wrong with the database or something.
