The indicated last two-thirds of battery power last only half as long as the first third.

There's got to be a neater way to express that...

How about "Half the battery life is in the first third of the meter"

That's good. And it obviously needs simplifying, as you've been much too optimistic in your reading of it. Combining my meaning and (most) of your phrasing, having a nice double use of "two-thirds":

"Two-thirds of the battery life has gone when the indicator shows two-thirds left."

We've now reached 1 week - 168h. Battery has fallen to 40%. I suspect that the end is in sight!

And the final result is that it died somewhere between 172 and 173h after being switched on - ie, just over 1 week. The battery showed 10% when it died, so at least that was pretty accurate.

Hope that's of interest to Tommy, at least.

What I don't like is the fact that the battery meter will only ever show one of ten values: 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100%. I'd prefer a graph with 9 bars instead.

Actually, in my experiment, the battery meter went down in jumps of 30%; the only values I ever saw were 100%, 70%, 40%, and 10%. I know that's not always the case - in my normal usage of the Opus I've seen it go to 90% and 80%; I don't know why it behaved in this way this time!

Nice to know. So it was approximately as the original Gen3 and would probably work for my usage pattern of constant on and only recharging at weekends.
