It's even better :-)

$9.99 * 1.0150 = $10.14
$9.99 * 1.0175 = $10.16

Now considering that when I buy english paperbacks here, they are priced at about twice the original RRP, so electronic distribution is just heaven ! ... and take into account also that a lot of ebooks are priced lower than their dead-tree counterparts it all adds up to my sony reader costing me absolutely nothing (Provided I don't go nuts buying tons of books than usual ... and there IS a slight risk of that, so it might end up being my worst investment ever).

Dang this choosing stuff i really hard. I come to the conclusion that I want an interim reader waiting for some big screen and good pdf support at a reasonable prize. Because of the open format and the good news that I can indeed buy books from the sony store even from Norway I have ruled out the kindle (pdf support is better than none, even on a small screen, right?). So, 505 or 600 ? that is the question, they are prized almost the same here in Norway. Someone that knows both might have advice for me (The-eBook-Reader perhaps??)

Thanks

What it comes down to, Euroboy, is . . . to touchscreen or not to touchscreen. That is the question. Both are fine devices, but it all depends if you are one of the few people who can't stand the slight glare on the 600. I personally don't mind it. The 600 has much better features, faster speed, dictionary, note-taking, etc. And the 600 is better for PDFs because you can zoom in and there are more text sizes.

You can read my review and watch a video review on my website if you're still having trouble deciding.

You should also be able to buy a Sony 600 (Touch) from amazon.co.uk. With regards to custom fees etc. I don't now how exactly things work out since Norway is not in EU....

If having a touch screen and/or a dictionary is not a big deal to you, I can really recommend the Sony 505. I have only used it with custom-sized PDFs, but so far that works fine. All in all though - I have just bought device no. 6 - I have not been happy with larger sized PDFs on any screen smaller than 10". It's just not comfortable for reading.

I ordered the 505 but cancelled it after I saw the reviews on your site. Think I go for a 600 on ebay. Kindle dx is really tempting though but as a first reader I think the sony is better (less expensive anyway).
