Why should bloggers have to do that when JOURNALISTS don't do it. You have that guy at computerworld (can't remember his name) who writes about the benefits of macs and OS X while in his spare time writing books on how to use mac software. Vested interest in Macs and OS X of course.

Also traditional journalism is such a farce, driven by corporate interests and advertising buys, it is so corrupted already (look at Fox news) that most intelligent people have given up believing what individual journalists tell them. You have to use multiple sources before believing anything.

news is depressing. reading fiction is much better. at least they tell you straight up what you're reading ain't true

I just find it good practice if you start a blog with a sentence like: I got this thing and they asked me to write a review about it. Or something like that, at least...

Always wanted to see Alaska!

It's one of those guidelines that will never make an impression (on some way, I find that sad). Just because we have a global communications network.

I fully support the US Constitution, which requires that the legislative branch, rather than unelected bureaucrats in the executive branch make regulations affecting citizens.

If Congress (who answers to the voters) wishes to attempt to regulate things like this, let them. The FCC exists to carry out policy, not create it.
