Nasty bunch

You people are the nastiest bunch and your comments are really distasteful. I guess political diversity isn't welcome here. Unless by diversity, you mean as long as everybody agrees with you. I'll buy the Palin book and the Kennedy book - everybody has a story to tell. Grow up!

Well i consider the remarks not distatefull but using the given right of not agreeing , it's just no one has admitted to support either side yet. So you calling this group 'nasty' is much more judgemental than any comments made by the others. So please join us in the 'Growing up' - should we ever wish to do so.

If someone with such a towering intellect and thorough knowledge of international politics (she can see Russia from her back yard, remember) runs for Vice President, she does set herself up for such ridicule. Even more so when she publishes a book at this point in her life looking back on her long and distinguished career.

You have confused Tina Fey with Palin. It was Fey on SNL who said that in her skit. Palin never said she could see Russia from her house.

Many people have written memoirs at an early stage in their careers. Consider Obama had two before serving his 152 days in the US Senate prior to his presidential run.

I stand corrected -- I thought that was an original quote from Palin used by Fey in her famous skit.

That's right. At that point, and to this day, he has written more in the way of memoirs than in legislation.

It's kind of amusing to see somebody complaining about others disliking political diversity when that's exactly what Palin and others like her want to see in america.

Just look at the idiocy of those people trying to complain that their country was stolen and that Obama isn't a legitimate president simply because they didn't vote for him, conveniently ignoring that whole democracy idea I guess.

The actual quote was:

"They're our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska."

While the statement she made is technically correct, it's actually of little more value than the Tina Fey version.

Anyway, now I remember that interview. That interview was the only time we saw the real her nationwide. It was her first major public appearance and they hadn't coached her yet to give evasive answers as she did later on. So what really came through was just how dumb she is. I am sorry, but there is no other way to put it.

Having watched her in the debates later on it was clear that she was just rehashing prepared answers that had been fed to her by campaign managers, in many cases she just didn't answer the questions but went through a list of things she had been taught to say.

We all know why she was picked. Firstly because she was a woman and they thought they needed a woman on the ticket to get more of the female vote, and secondly they had to appease the radical right-wing republicans who didn't like McCain.

Those people? Palin isn't a birther and never said the election was stolen.
