Boomerang's first review on Smashwords, by dreams, right here on mobileread!

Great fun from start to finish. The various antics of the characters had me laughing out loud as I visualized the situations. I loved following the old lady sisters, Amelia and Doreen (they were so real that I could almost hear their conversations) and Ted and Jerry (that guy had more stuff he was into than poor Ted could keep up with). If that wasn't enough, add in the alphabet soup of government agencies and “the clothing optional former onion festival queen". I had no idea how it was going to end and couldn't wait to find out. This will definitely be on my to-be-read-again list.

And thanks to whoever has bestowed the lovely Karma Points lately!

What a Great Gift Idea!

What better to get that certain difficult to buy for someone on your list than a rare book?

And one that's quite reasonably priced!

A first edition of Boomerang is sure to appreciate in value over the years, maybe even send somebody's kid through college!

It's a thought.

Wow, it was a great Black Friday (I shouldn't use that name, 'cause it irks me) for Boomerang, both with coupons (most of them coming from mobileread!) and actual "Sure, I'll risk a couple of bucks" purchases. I appreciate them all.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks! and I Have a Goal

I know, not exactly the same as I Have a Dream, but that one is taken.

Firstly, a really big Thank You to everyone who has downloaded Boomerang so far. I do realize that it may not be at the front of all of your ToBeRead lists, but it's still an honor to be in line.

And secondly, I would like to ask your help in getting Boomerang to the five hundred download goal by the end of the year. I'm counting both Smashwords and Amazon numbers, which means Ted and Jerry and Amelia and Doreen and Leslie the assassin and even (or perhaps that should be "especially") Bethie the clothing optional former Onion Festival Queen would like to be in about one hundred and seventy more Kindles, Nooks, Sony e-readers, iPhones and computers by December 31st.

So, if you've already downloaded it and had even a brief look, and think it's worth passing the word, please, by all means do so! And if you've pondered downloading Boomerang and just haven't gotten around to it yet, please give it a try. It has gotten some nice comments on Amazon and the first Smashwords review was terrific. An earlier version was one of the first entries on the Harper Collins site Authonomy.com to earn an Editors Desk award.

Smashwords Coupon Code: GK59K

Thanks!

Yesterday was an unusual one in the recent sales history of Boomerang. Paper copies matched ebook copies. It had been such a long time since that has come anywhere close to happening that I almost forgot there was a paperback version available! Wish I could offer the same sort of deal on that one, but I can't set the price or offer coupons on it.

So here's my little reminder that Boomerang, the ebook can be gotten from Smashwords in all sorts of formats and although the price of $1.99 is pretty darned reasonable, there is even a coupon that reduces the price by $1.99. This is not a mail-in rebate where you wait six to eight weeks for the check in the mail either!*

Boomerang at Smashwords

*I know. Silly. But I'm still waiting for my rebate on a rechargeable flashlight and it's been on my mind.

If You Have Had a Chance to Read It...

I would really like to hear from you. If you have had a chance to read Boomerang, I would really like to hear your thoughts about it. On this forum, in a private message, or --especially if you enjoyed it! -- as a review on Smashwords, Amazon or now Barnes and Noble (recently available there and, I'm happy to say, getting a few sales!).

Still free at Smashwords with the coupon.

Just bought Boomerang based on Dreams review. Paid full price based on my love for marching bands.

Donnageddon,

Thanks two times over. I know I'm not going to be able to make a huge difference, I'm just hoping to help. And since the heroes of Boomerang are a couple of musicians, what better cause than the high school band? Besides, they have delighted me all football season long and their concerts are a highlight too.

Best,
Alan

Goodness knows I'm not all that computer savvy, but it was fun putting together a little promo video at xtra-normal.com.
