The delay in opening an LRF on the reader should only happen the first time you open it. The reader is calculating the number of pages in the LRF file, something it doesn't have to do with ePubs. The first time you open an LRF or change font sizes, the reader calculates everything and stores the information. Subsequent opening or font size changes will be very quick.

To avoid the initial delay in opening LRFs, you could use the Sony software. It'll "prepaginate" LRF files, thus allowing the files to open quickly on the reader.

Thanks Dordale, the weird thing however is that it happens every time I open the file! No matter what, it takes long, just with this lrf (and it is not big, like 200k)
How can I use to SOny Software to "prepaginate" the lrf file?

You just need to copy the book to your reader with the Sony software. Pre-pagination of LRF files is automatic with the Sony software.

I'm not sure why you're having problems with the LRF taking longer to open after the first time though--especially with such a small file.

Yeah that's how I copied it to the reader, by dragging it on the Sony software, yet it takes a bit to open. Weird.
