Very nice, Geoff! The lovely, pastoral descriptions at the beginning made what happened next all the more shocking. And the ending is wonderfully creepy.

Loved your story, GeoffC. The way you verbally drew the scenery was superb. I thought I had the ending figured out, but it wasn't what I expected.
