I acknowledged that there is a problem in my initial post. That response was to the post in which you said *will* and as far as I can tell have only been talking about that post. Prior to this post I only referred to your use of the word once. I don't see how that is "sticking" to it.

This thread is not the first one to discuss the sunlight problem. If you form your computation based only on this thread, you should have a 1/10 problem ratio. That's not a small number for me.
Don't you see my later post? What if I add "always" or "sometimes" behind "will"? I said you "stick" to my word because I have made clear to my first post and you still tried to stick on the word "will".

I have some firsthand data. I've been using my Reader in the steambath a lot. (Twice in the past 2 days, in fact). Temperature is about 115 deg. F, for about 20-25 minutes. The Reader looks fine--I didn't notice any degradation or blurriness.

We are beginning to talk in circles and it's clear we are not on the same page, so I'm moving on.

I can say that my EZ Reader and my partners K2 work fine in 32C temps in full sun at around 70% humidity with no 'blur' or fuzzyness.....
These are the normal condtions in my part of the world, often going to 34C +.

A bit of glare on the screen from the sun is my only issue with either device.

It would be my opinion that the screen quality appears to change on a batch-by-batch basis, but I can report no problem with either the K2 or the EZ reader.....

I'm interested in Plastic Logic's product (www.plasticlogic.com) but I don't know if it will ever see the direct sunlight of day (intro is projected six months late now). Once and if it does, I'm sure it will have its bugs and limitations (don't we all). For the scientific docs I read I need a little more real estate than my Sony 505 offers, so I'll wait until early 2010 and see how the Plastic Logic reviews go before I buy the iRex. The iRex has been on the market for several years and it is a great product, but Plastic Logic has a larger screen and is thinner and lighter. The iRex require$ ju$t one little compromi$e on the part of the buyer, but you do get a lot for your money.
