I wonder how this works on the Mac software. Most Windows users are likley to have word. But, I would say a very low percentage of Mac users have MS Word.

It scares me to think that a math major would be required to do 5th grade-level math. That said, until we're given proper measurements (instead of best guesses) for the screen width and height, we won't know the correct diagonal measurement. That said, assuming the screen width is the same as the 600, and assuming the height is the 7" "width" that they've mentioned, the diagonal should be about ~7.8-7.9ish inches.

Yes, assuming the height (longer side) is about 7", then the diagonal will be about 8".

However, if the previously mentioned measurement of 600x1024 with the same 167 DPI is used, then you would actually have a 7" diagonal.

See the attached Excel spreadsheet in the .zip for the actual calculations prepared by a Math Major!

No, the screen is 7inches "WIDE" when you hold it on the horizontal.... (landsape as it's called when you print stuff.) I am pretty sure the width is the same as the 600... whatever that is. Once you get those numbers you can just plug them into a(squared) * b(squared) = c(squared).
