Doug--are you talking about the stock 505 cover from Sony? I'm able to fold mine back. In fact, I do that almost exclusively when reading on it. I can't remember, but it may have been a little stiff at first, but now it folds back with ease.

No I meant the leather accessory covers, biggest complaint on the reviews were that you couldn't fold it back.

I have a 505 and a 700 cover. Of the two, the 505 cover folds back a lot easier. Don't want to see you get something that doesn't meet your expectation.

I agree. It probably has to do w/ the cover being leather. My 700 cover is still tighter than my 505 light wedge cover, which feels like the same material as their cover they came with.
