Just a thought - why do you need a touchscreen for dictionary support?

On my 505, if it was available, why couldn't you just scroll down the page lines using the 4 way pad, then across the line a word at a time & press the middle button to do a dictionary lookup?

That's okay for occasional dictionary lookups. That would be a pain in the backside for selecting text to bookmark. My Kindle2 does like you are suggesting, and it takes forever to navigate the screen. A touchscreen would be much quicker and more convenient.

Most of the reports seem to indicate that the 600 improves on the 700, so they are moving in the right direction, but that extra layer the touchscreen needs will always mean there is a slight gap in clarity between the two options.
