I currently have 1801 on my reader with 10 more MR & purchases to up load and about 500 on my Touch (only about half of those are duplicates). There will be many more as I convert my library from paper to eBook.

I'm always looking for new stuff and in PD and I buy favorite oldies as they come out in eBook.

I have 23 on my Kindle, but I just got it less than a week ago. I have lots more on my other computers, if you count audiobooks especially. I would wildly guess 300.

Hi everybody,
I'm a newbie and I have 125 books on my Cybook, but I don't read them as fast as I buy them.

I keep 6 books on my SD card at any one time, and have the rest on disc. I think 6 is a reasonable number and means I don't get distracted and end up reading 8 books at a time.....as has been known to happen. I also remove each book from my SD card when I have completed it. Can't "forget" where each book is now.

I usually have 2 on the go... one 'Heavy" Like My sister's keeper, and one light, something like Terry Pratchett or Ben Elton-ish....

Does the Cybook index like the Sony Reader?

I have over 500 eBooks on my Cybook. I use folders for genres and add the author name to the file name so that I can easily find the book i'm looking for. It does take time to get from one end of the collection to the other, but it is worth it to have all the choices at my fingertips.

No, it doesn't. The time taken to boot does increase slightly as the number of books increases, but there's nothing like the minutes that you can wait on the Sony Reader when you insert an SD card.

I have 186 on my Sony 505. I read half of them, I think. I keep on adding new ebooks.

Currently about 300 on my to-read card and something like 150 on my have-been-read card. The last one i lug around if I need to go back and reference something

Not that I consider it a chore to have an extra 2GB sd card in the folder of my BeBook

It can easily double the boot time. I think I had 50 seconds boot time with 300 books. That is a very big increase in boot time.

It is, but if you put an SD card with 300 books on it into a Sony Reader it can take 10 minutes to "scan" it. The CyBook is rapid by comparison.

I have about 25 on my sd card. These are currently reading and wish to read soon ones. The rest are archived on my pc. I do recreational reading on my cybook and usually only read one at a time unless I get bored with it and would start another one.
