I am surprised there is an issue with Adobe DRM for ePubs, since it is virtually identical with the DRM on Adobe PDFs.

I know many people just want to read ebooks without hassling with conversion steps, but the program used to remove Adobe DRM is among the easiest to use. See Adobe ADEPT DRM for EPUB circumvented, which also discusses the legal issues in detail. In summary, in the US it is probably legal to strip DRM from ebooks you bought for personal use and even if not a) who would know and b) who would care?
There is no difficulty. The engine's exactly the same as on the Sony, the BeBook(as of today), the Cybook with the ePub support, the Elonex, the Cool-er and so on

From the methods used in the scripts, I'd say it is legal, since it doesn't actually break the encryption. You still have to have the key, meaning it has to be legally purchased, and done on a machine that is authorized to use the book in the first place.

Even if it doesn't support DRM'ed epubs, there is a ton of great material it can use, and I'm sure it is just a firmware issue that can be later fixed anyway.

Can someone try a DRM'ed epub in an ezreader with the latest firmware? Hell, I'd be willing to pay for one to find out.

Edit: OK, apparently others have spoken up and it should work fine with DRM'ed epubs.

I also have only tried DRM-Free EPubs. Has anyone tried an Adobe DRM ePub book on the EZ-Reader?

I would be inclined to think that it would work. I remember seeing postings saying that a Library Book would not work on the EZ-Reader because it lacked a calendar. Well that proved wrong and I am reading Library books with my EZ-Reader and Adobe Digital Editions.

And saying you offer ADE on your website without mention that it only supports Abobe PDF is extremely misleading.
Not trying to be misleading. Just nisunderstood the answer from tech support.

The device has Adobe Digital Editions!! We paid for it and we have it. We JUST got approved so lets be a little gentle as we explore what it does.

Well yes, let me rephrase this, then. All Adobe library books, regardless of their format, are per definition DRM-"protected"
