I am in the same boat as OP, but have already decided to keep mine, I love it and from what I have read, the 300 will not have mp3 ability, nor the storage card and I am not big on touch screens like the 600 may have. If I decide to upgrade and the new irex may be looking good in a acouple of years I will see what is new then and sell this one on craigs list.

I live near 3 warehouse stores. Of all three, only one had them and the display was not up for too long. I hope that once the 300/600 comes out, they will become available at costco.

When I was looking for the 505, I went to Borders first. I asked the salesperson about their return policy. The lady told me that I would need to send it back to Sony and get a refund through Sony. Now, either the salesperson didn't really understand or Borders has an awful return policy.

I think Borders really does have an aweful return policy from what I've read here. I also hope Costco has the new models on display and perhaps even the different colors. The Sony Style store closed in my area so I'm hoping to find a physical store where I can view them in person.

I bought my 505 from Costco.com. I've been checking the site to see if there is a price drop--if so, I will demand a refund for the price adjustment.

I've never seen the 505 in my local Costco. Did you guys see it near books or computers section?
