What REALLY sucks is that the lawmakers in this country (in both parties) are so astonishingly ignorant that they really don't have a clue what any of this means and so when those lobbyists come out sounding all reasonable they go with it.

I'd contact my senators - but they're the two stupidest people in Washington and ALWAYS go with "corporate" interests.... but if you live in a more civilized place, by all means contact yours and explain these issues to them!

Yeah, I've met my senators - they really are idiots. I'm sure plenty of the politicians DO know what's going on but plenty barely understand the concept of email.

Unfortunately, so are the voters.
