Yeap, i woudn't have minded 7 or 8. I would like an e-reader to read pdf properly.
Then, if properly used, tactile screen and reflow might do.

Oh, it's very clear that they're absolutely real. They're hosted on the Sony website and they have far too much detail for them to be anything but real. Also, from the service parts listing, they'll both be available in black, red, and silver.

Oh, and no indication of wifi on either model.

So, I started to wonder how that person got those two documents. And then decided to have some fun with google.

I entered:

"sony prs-900"

The website search didn't give anything back... But, google Images gave this:

I would think that we will see at least one more model,

first, these doenst seem to add much compared to the existing models, sure the 300 has a smaller screen but that isnt really anything that define progress

second, the modelnames, it is pretty uncommon that a company release a new version with a modelname that sounds like it is a lesser model than the one it replaces, the 600 is prob replacing the 505 and I think and hope that we will see a more "high-end" model that will replace the 700 (800 or 900 perhaps )


My guess that these two is the budget/mid models, the 300 is cheap because it is a small screen and the 600 is prob a reworked 700 and will prob have the same price as the 505.

And that does sound fake and all the photo is is a edited PRS-505 in silver. I don't think that is real at all.

Well, the image is photoshopped from a PRS505, as you still can see the model number at the middle in the bottom.

I can't read the text, but I would say this seems much more the perfect device from the blog author's point of view than a future Sony device.

It's possible there is still a larger screen device in the pipeline. I'd wait till October if we don't find out anything sooner. or now, I am going to stick with my 505. I don't see anything about the new models that makes me want to change. The 300 is too small. And the 600 doesn't really have anything new I need/want.

Don't worry, it's pretty easy to determine it's a fake.

I do agree it's very easy to start rumors.

For the PRS300 and 600, the info seems pretty reliable. At least, it's not an MS Paint job (you don't even need Photoshop for that) coming from a chinese blog.
