I don't know which controller it has. My K1 turns pages as fast or faster than my Sony 505, and I'm told that the K2 is faster than a K1. I do know that normal .azw files page much more quickly than those in Topaz (.tpz or .azw1) format. |

Two more questions then =)
How do I know what type of file I am reading? Is there a quick way to bookmark? I turned my kindle off to charge and came back to find out that it did not save my last page in memory and I was back at the begining |

I'm not sure what you mean by what type of file you're reading. |

Hi Daffy.
I'm going to have to get used to having a keyboard I guess. Need to play around some more... .. is there another place to see the different bookmarks you have in all your books? Or a way to categorize (like Sony's collections) I was wondering if there was a way to know if you have a topaz, an azw, a partridge, or a pear tree ![]() |

Most books you download from the Kindle store will be .azw. If you come across a Topaz book you'll know it. It will look kind of like a scan of a page and usually has a different font. To see all the bookmarks, highlights and notes you have for a particular book, go to the home page. Go to the book you're interested in, move the joy stick to the right and you will be taken to page with a menu just for that book. Toggle the joystick down to "My Notes & Marks", push down on the joystick and you'll see everything for that book. |

Thanks Daffy.
Last question then I'll go back to reading ![]() If I have like 65 books on there, but am only actively reading 5, is there another portion of the menu where I can scroll through where I am in just those 5 books My first book to read should have been the user guide ![]() But, I'm just super excited for Lamentation on K2 |

![]() One addition, you can also get to the "My Notes & Marks" from within the book by hitting the menu button, you'll see it toward the bottom of the menu. |

Thanks. I'm switching to the gear forum to find a good light and some way to lower all the whitespace

I have two Kindle 2's in my household. I was an early adopter for my K2 and amazon's cover was the only one less than $100 at the time.
Skip forward in time I bought my wife a K2, and would highly recommend the M-Edge Go! covers over the amazon ones. The pricing is the same, but the extra straps on the corner in addtion to the metal hooks holds the kindle FIRMLY in place. Plus it's available in multiple colors. The amazon cover is still a good cover but I liked the M-Edge Go! cover so much that I purchased one for me and I'm giving my old cover to a friend who just got a K2. I don't think this works on topaz books, but it works fine on the regular ones. I like lots of text on a page so I set it for alt-2 but bump the font size up one from the smallest because my old eyes get tired. If you want to change the margins, I'm afraid I don't know how to do that; I'm not sure it's even possible. |

Huh - did not know that. Thanks.
Are there any other cheats that I'm missing? |
