Does "not available to the general public" mean "you can only have them if you can find where the files are hidden on our site, oh, and cope with lousy metadata?"

(Using Calibre to fix the metadata of PDFs is a less-than-optimal solution; Calibre will strip out the text formatting.)

BeCyPDFMetaEdit is freeware that says it's used to change PDF metadata.

Well I feel priveledged to have them then!

I even passed the links for all 3 on to my email book groups. And it was just by sheer luck that I found out about the Horseman's Son. I was at Borders reading Magazines and happened to pick up Woman's day and saw a little advertisement on the cover.

I'm surprised that Harlequin even answered you!

The first two books mention they are for Shoppers Drug Mart (Canada) consumers, and the book The Horseman's Son of course is for Woman's Day readers. How many more "freebies" like this are out there????? HUNTING TIME!

I was able to get all three in the PDF just fine, and used Adobe Digital Editions to put onto my PRS505.

Well, I don't know how you did find the files, I looked myself and it's still a mystery to me.

You're welcome. I think I'm gonna keep an eye on womens/family type magazines the next few months (Woman's Day, Good Housekeeping, Ladies Home Journal, Family Circle, etc. You never know when they'll post something again.

Yeah I had no problem either. The titles are kinda funky and I think one of the books doesn't have a cover, but I can live with that.

I'm doing a google search for "free Harlequin ebooks" and so far I haven't seen any more current offers, but I DID notice that the last couple years, either for the whole month of December or the week between Christmas and New Years, eHarlequin offers a free book each day. I wasn't into ebooks yet last Christmas, so I didn't pay attention, but I definitely will keep my eye out this Christmas.

In the process I also found this really cool site that I had heard about but not really explored much. I will definitely go back and explore some more after I'm done with my search.

Darn, I wish I could get these additional freebies. Could some kind person post the URL from the front of the magazine? When I use any of the links in this thread, they don't work.

I was able to get the PDFs to download, but that's not my favorite format to read on the Sony 505. The paragraph breaks get lost when I increase the font size.

Thanks. I only get 1 kb files for everything but the PDF.

some people I emailed the link to also had problems. I then sent them the actual link I found in the magazine http://www.harlequincelebrates.com/wdfreebook It goes to the same website mentioned above but this one includes The Horseman's Son. I should've posted this link to begin with-SORRY!!

As far as I know, this title is only available in PDF format. I tried to download it in epub format after finding the links that were posted in this thread but I kept getting error messages.

Hopefully the new link I posted works for you.

How embarrassing. I checked my downloads - mine were also only 1 KB.
