I have a old slow netbook HP mininote 2133 which has a 8.9" screen 1280x768 (about the same screen size as the A700 but with a higher res)

I use adobe acrobat 9 to read the PDF, can zoom, rotate, reflow, text to speech and all the stuffs. When using it as a reader, rotating it 90deg and holding it like a book. reading a A4 magazine/journal full page(no reflow, to keep its format) is rather hard to read. the text is still too small to read comfortably. I have to rotate back to landscape mode to read half a page of A4 PDF text comfortably. But still troublesome as will have to scroll up and down while going from one column to another.

at 8.9" I find reading reader's digest full page in vertical mode is very comfortable. Plus in full color, the ads really stands out. Just press to arrow key to do a page turn, forward or backwards.


Thus for A700 even with 8.9" screen, it still isn't good for a full page A4 PDF reading. I guess would need at least a 10"

for a 1 to 1 display, A4 or letter size is about 14"
