Fry's has the 505 in Blue and Silver for US $249. And it looks like they do ship internationally, not sure how much the shipping would cost.

I never quite understand these websites that want to know your entire life's story before they'll tell you the price of something. Fry's want me to open an account AND supply my full credit card details before I can find out how much shipping will cost. I'll think about it.

Yeti--When I followed the link Doreenjoy provided, I could add the reader to my cart, then enter my zip to get an estimate for shipping (ground to Sacramento, CA was $5.79).

What I found strange is that when I did a search for the reader on Fry's site, the 505 doesn't show up, but Doreenjoy's link shows it in stock.

edit--just found that I can get to it from the weekly specials page, but still don't see it when doing a search for "sony reader" or "prc505" or "505"....

Search engines leave a lot to be desired (no offense to my dear niece who engineers search technology). I'm glad you found it via the link I posted.
