I was very impressed with the Kindle, but for now I did purchase a \jetbook fron Newegg for $169. I will still hope for a Kindle. I have noticed that a lot of people have more than one ebook. The jetbook is small enough to fit in my purse. Now to find a case for it so it doesn't get scratched. I haave a sock like thing for my ipod and can then toss it in my purse. Any ideas on where to get one? Hope to get the jetbook in 3 days (so newegg says). I thank everyone so very much.

The Jetbook used to come with a little zippered purse/case that you could keep it in. I assume it still does.

Or go buy a big sock

But what made you decide to go for the jetbook at the end? Was it the price only?

I would just like to say thank you for everyone's great reviews on the pro's and con's of the different ebooks. I am trying to figure out which is the best reader to get. Unfortunately, I am a young person with limitations, (gotta love those wars the Bush's send us too),I am blind as a bat with out my glasses however, I have a seeing eye 4 yr old. lol. I am also limited on how long I can hold an object. So I am considering all aspects of the ereaders, ie weight, font size, and I would love if I could find one that would do pdf's too. yes I know I want a lot, but since I am wishing I want world peace too.

Price and size. It is small enough to fit in my purse. The Kindle was larger than I expected, but I did like the fact that you could get an ebook "on demand" without the use of a computer. I just hope that the jetbook will be not to hard to get new books to. We plan on traveling to Germany, and it says the tbook I ordered has a German dictionary included. Mostly, the deciding factor was size and price. \however, my Grandmother always said that "you get what you paid for" I still hop for a Kindle!

Sorry, but I can't help out. I love to assist others with ebook issues, but I don't come here to do political debates.

I apologize. I did not realize anything was political in the discussion about the jetbook or the Kindle.

See E-Reader with Biggest Text Size?. The Cybook is probably best of the 6" Readers if you need a large font, but it isn't the best ergonomically.

What type of books do you like to read? As long as they are the correct format, and they do not have DRM, you should have no problem getting them onto the Jetbook. Enjoy!

The big question about PDF's is, what kind of PDF's will you be using? According to the wiki (E-book_Reader_Matrix), they can all read PDF natively. But, if you want to read text-book PDF's with lots of graphs, tables, pictures, photo's, etc, those small screens won't be the best choice. If you're mainly reading novels in PDF form, any 5" or 6" should do.

I have received my jetbook, and it is great. \it has lots of books preloaded. Some of which, \i actually planned on getting. I haave not tried to download any yet, but I do like how fast thepages "turn". There is no delay like on the kindle. the print is nidce and sharp, and I like to read it in the landscape mode. It came with a charger, earphones, even a case! I think that for ?169, it was the best choice for me. I will know more after I try to download some books.
