Does the DR1000S have wifi or blue tooth? - Page 2

Well, the "plan" is for it to have both. Since it isn't released yet we don't really know. It may end up being one or the other by the time it comes out. I don't know how far along they are in developing the SW model, or what the hold up is, but I could see them cutting one due to resources/time limitations.

We probably won't find out until they release it though.

With all the work required to get color out the door I bet the SW is never released. I felt this to be the case even before color was announced. I believe Wifi is an excellent feature to use with PressReader. Unless the conversion has to still go through the PC software it would be great to download the newspaper directly to the reader. Otherwise I tend to agree with the others. Currently Wifi has limited use.

My feelings exactly! Living in Asia a DR reader with WiFi would be a great way to get the paper from the US or Europe every day, and all the RSS feeds I am interested in. Starting up my computer before breakfast and then transferring it to the reader doesn't appeal to me. But they don't even have a release date after months and months. My guess is it will never happen. Since the Iliad has Wifi I am sure technical problems are not the reason. Their loss, this way I can wait to see what Sony, Plastic Logic, and others will be doing.
