Interesting! Do you know of any other serious bug about the Hanlin V3 that could explain why some owners report very unstable operation? It switches back and forth between SD-card and internal storage some times when reading a book, so we end up in the root folder. I wonder if the firmware bug you mentioned can explain this, or if this is bad soldering on some Hanlin V3s, or poor electrical engineering.
