OK, desertgrandma, I see your secret. An all liquid diet. (I gotta me one one a dem pool caddies)

Silly me. I was mistakenly actually EATING.

I don't have a pool down here just the waterfall pond. For some reason I thought it would require less upkeep and $ than my pool at the other house (HA, the joke was on me - it requires just as much and I can't float in it!)

Why, of course, you may come visit. I have lots of room out there It's entertaining to watch the little birdies take a bath and fly under the water. I'd let you claim your very own spot.

My favourite place to read is in my hammock - hopefully I'll get to use it more than twice this summer!

If it's raining I like my sofa or my bed. To be honest I can read anywhere, and it's better if the surroundings don't distract me from my book ... and if I don't feel guilty that I'm ignoring beautiful surroundings to read!

I need an address where I can find that caddy! My mother will love it (she has and a pool, and a hammock and she even lives in a country with beautiful summers...)

That's why I want that hammock in the lounge. So, I can lay in it even when it's raining

And Z, you're always welcome! The trip from Paris to here shouldn't be too hard (by road or by train).

Thinking about it my hammock is portable (has its own stand, it isn't tied to trees) and I have a big lounge, so I could try moving my hammock into the lounge

It might have to wait until my housemate is out though!

In a place where I don't have to face any reality, where no responsibilities or housework come to nag me, where I don't have to think about cooking, homeworking or working, where everything gets done without me needing to do anything, and where I don't feel like missing out on anything if I get lost in a book for hours: my parents place!!! They have the pool, the garden, the fireplace, and they're pretty nice too!

Otherwise, everywhere I can curl up, ideally with the cats.

I can read just about anywhere, sometimes I like calm ,tranquil surroundings (beaches, terrace looking out at river or ocean, parks ).When I'm at home,I tend to read on the sofa or in bed-usually if I'm anywhere else I don't get quite as cozy or more often I am still working on a project. This year,I may like to try reading at some of the new pedestrian areas in NYC-just for a change. What I find is that if I am somewhere urban and trying to read-I tend to put in the earbuds and listen to music on my ipod.Oh-sometimes its delightful to stumble onto a park that I either forgot about,or didn't know existed to read in....
