:deep sigh:

You people are terrible, you know? You evil enablers are responsible for me ordering an M-Edge cover and a Mighty Bright booklight. I've only had my Sony for 4 days, too.

(I got the navy cover and the purple light. They will be AWESOME together.)

The plastic clip on one end of my original cover also broke. I see a theme here. Very cheesy since I must have pulled my 505 in and out of it maybe three times. Sony wanted as much money for a new OEM cover as the nicer M-Edge cover.

I love my Medge cover. It feels sturdier, I don't worry about it being in my purse. I like the pockets on the inside cover-I keep my ongoing booklist of what I want to get next there. Ya never know when someone will mention another great book.

Received the discontinued version of the M-Edge leather cover for my Sony PRS-505. While the leather is low grade, the overall construction quality of the cover is quite high. It has very rigid protective sheets (plastic?) embedded in both the front and rear, unlike the original Sony covers that were really flimsy. This covers feels like it would actually protect the Reader from reasonable handling and storage in a briefcase, backpack, or purse.

I'm a big MEdge fan. In fact, I got to look at the latest Executive Cover at the recent NOVA Meet Up and like it a lot

Does the Mighty Bright Booklight fit inside this case? I am looking for a good and safe fit for my 2 week old Sony PRS-505.

The clip/battery holder doesn't fit inside the case, though you can fold down the light to fit beside the reader inside the cover.

Thanks for the reply. But you can clip it to the edge of the case right?

Hi Hidari,

I have to ask... How does one accidentally sit on one's own book?

I've been thinking back in my own life, and can't remember ever doing such a thing. (Of course now that it's in my mind I'll probably do it every other day... ) I know here in Japan we often put our bags down on a table or chair to 'reserve' them while we are at a counter purchasing food or drinks, (I don't think I'd try that in the South Bronx...) but I usually notice these sorts of things before I sit.

I have the new M edge cover and have to say that I absolutely love it. I had heard all the comments about the straps and was a bit hesitant but I have so say the reader is so much safer its not funny. It by far is one of the best investments I have made with the reader and if there was to be a down point it is that it no longer fits in my book armor that I adored. Its just that little bit to big. Its a shame that they have made it that wide and I understand the concept about fitting the light in but I dont use a light so would have liked it a little thinner. Maybe have the option light width or standard width. Thats picking at hairs though. I find the reader easier on the eyes with the grey lining ( I went the stone with the brown strap) and give it a 8/10.

Hope that helps people sitting on the fence.

I use the Mighty Bright light with the M-Edge.

The Battery portion of the clip goes outside/behind the back cover. The top of the clip goes inside/behind the reader. Fits nicely.

Since I am never quite happy to use anything the way it was intended, I have a minor modification on my Mighty Bright booklight. The Flex neck was simply too long. Cumbersome to fit it my purse, and kept turning itself on when it would get bumped around. So. I tied the Flexible gooseneck in a loose knot. Wha-La. PERFECT length now just over the screen. Still movable. Good stuff.

Oh - thats the one I got ( the cream and brown) and it is beautiful. Its more like a stone colour and I LOVE it. Let us know when you get it.

Very very exciting.
