Ventura, a swiss watch maker, went bankrupt sadly - but they'd decided to go all digital and had developed a digital/electric equivalent of the mechanical watch with the 'automatic' power supply, that uses your wrist movement to turn a rotor to wind up the watch mainspring.
So, instead of sunlight, any movement would charge up a battery. And since ereaders don't require much power, and there's plenty of room for more than one rotor set....

Hey guys. It's my fist feedback to you. And from my experence, weather is a big challange to a solar battery charger. If you often travel and survive forest, a solar cell phone charger is a must. And than you can contact with your friends or ask for help when something wrong..

Hi everyone!
I know it's not about Kindle, but maybe you guys know something as you talk about solar chargers. I've decided to assemble a "portable" solar battery to charge my K2i. I've made a great deal buying 10 damaged cells which I used. Eventually the battery is approx. 35x85 cm so that's portability for you.
My question is: It says on the Kindle that it should be charged with DC 4.9V 0,85A. How flexible is the device? Can I use a slightly different current?
Thanks a lot.
