Yes you will.

This guy from another board cracks me up. He's like... "I don't belive it, the videos can't be real...blah, blah, blah"

Seriosuly, do people really think i would waste that much time to make hi res and low res pictures and lo res videos? AND THEN BOTHER TO WATERMARK THEM??

And on top of it, I post pictures of it next to another unlreased verizon phone the CDMA Razr.

Perhaps some non-believers who don't want to accept the fact that Palm is toying with Windows Mobile? I have to admit, this is hard to grasp. But the evidence you've shown us is pretty much conclusive.

I don't know how you do it, but you continue to amaze me. Just be careful that no one wants you to get in trouble for this, ok?

Still no answer to my question about it being Verizon branded... Anyone have any theories as to why these would already be branded with the Verizon logo, bootscreen, etc.?

Especially if it's just a test running Windows Mobile, then why is it a Verizon phone?

Maybe they used an existing Verizon Treo as the base hardware and just messed with the ROM. Is that feasible, with or maybe even without Verizon help?

Maybe the carriers are more closely involved in the production process this time around and Verizon happpens to be the first one who offers this model. Another reason could be that the WM-powered Treos will be more "Verizon"-branded than "Palm"-branded. This way Palm stays associated with PalmOS, from a marketing point of view, while they still reap the profits from selling WM-powered phones through carriers. Just a thought.

Which would mean only Verizon potentially selling a WM Treo? Would it even be worth the trouble then? Palm has a very slow product cycle, and me thinks if they really put something new on the market, such as this rumored Treo 670, they wouldn't stick to a single carrier selling this device.

Well, the WM Treo may not be branded with the "Palm" name, but rather with the carrier's name. Verizon may just happen to be (one of) the first.

Hey roc a fella; nice to see you visiting here too (you are more places than ever nowadays). I talked to Peter at engadget at the meetup and he basically assured me you are on point. So hey, count me in that group of believing you.

Palm isnt stupid, do the reasarch now whether you release it or not. If PalmLinux will talke too long, release it and have some (nice sized) short term gains. In my nicely techie gov't office, I passed teh idea of a WinMobile Treo around and folks said they would ditch their Blackberry for one. Why wouldnt they do it now, the PalmOs seems too different for them, even though it does the same thing. Perception is a market that Palm cannot afford not to tap at this point.

My guess is that before the end of the year we will see a new Treo, possibly with Cobalt. And next fall at the latest we will see the WM Treo. In either respect, Palm will have somehting nice to offer, and we all will flock to getting one (unless they keep the RAM at a paltry low number).
