What are the display options for PDFs? For example, the PRS-700 has full screen portrait with margins (almost useless), three reflow sizes, a landscape mode (not sure about the details), and a zoom that does not work for reading because it is lost when page advancing. The Kindle DX (larger screen) has full screen portrait with margin clipping, and full screen landscape with continuous pages and left/right margin clipping. Both are using Adobe Digital Editions for PDFs.

What I am mostly interesting in is margin clipping. Does the cybook with ADE do this?

Thank you very much, srml. My information was correct then.

What does this mean ?

Does it mean that you can navigate through your library using Folder names ?
Just like you would navigate to files using Folders and Subfolders in Windows Explorer ?

Or does it only mean that the Cybook will search through all folders and present all books in one big table ?

Acording to an entry and pictures in the german thread ( https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46279 ) it seems to be Option 1:
Navigating your library with folders and subfolders.

Don't the Cybook already act like that ?

If on the other hand testing is done so sloppily that they don't even check the older features then I wonder what's the explanation for the long delay with their firmware. According to the blog they are testing since late March so I wonder what exactly is taking them so long if they don't even test txt support...
My guess is that it have sometinhg to do with the whole "no mobi drm with epub drm thing".

I don't think we'll have both e-pub drm and mobi drm. Even the DX supports only non drm mobi.

You cannot compare Amazon to the rest of the world. What Amazon does in terms of DRM is unique to Amazon. Amazon supports AZW which is Mobipocket but slightly modified for only the Kindle line. Amazon is doing that so buyers of a Kindle cannot go to some other vendor for DRM infected eBooks.

I mean, mobi being amazon's they should be able to support modi drm. They won't break thier own rules for themselve...

And this one won't read mobi drm either.

What's really mean (IMHO) is Bookeen coming out with this new firmware and not actually telling customers exactly what's going on and what they are planning on doing. All this speculation is bad for sales.

From Bookeen this morning,

.....Our technical team is still working on fixing some bugs. The release will be done in a few weeks. The next firmware will have new functionalities that have been waiting for a long time from our readers and also lots of new possibilities that will enhance your reading experience.
We are sorry for the delay but please be sure that satisfying your interest is really our main goal..................

My question to them was ....
May I ask what the status of any forthcoming firmware upgrades, and what
is likely to be in them.
The launch of a device with weltbild that supports ePub is good news, though
seemingly less good for the remainder of your customers.

Your official blogs are very quiet with news ....
