I wonder what they'll do about dictionary support.
We do have Calibre to use to convert from Mobipocket to ePub. As for dictionary support, no idea as ADE does not support dictionaries.

We already have a good converter for Mobi2Epub. It's called calibre.

Actually, the program you'd want to run is any2epub.

Good to see epub coming up, though I think right now a US customer is better off with the mobi firmware. (Though I hope that will change.)

I'm really curious to know when mobi went for DRM exclusivity though.

Calibre is going to have to get to work actually doing the conversions since the Gen3 is going to be dumping Mobipocket in favor of ADE.

I seriously hope that there will be ways to still read non-drmed mobi files, I payed a lot of money on mobi-dictionaries and I don't think I want to live without them...

That's my hope as well. I can't imagine Mobipocket/Amazon to act this stubborn to lose one of the major current reading devices just to keep up their "exclusivity or death"-policy.

Sure, there are still a lot (A LOT) of PDAs and organizers out there which still are capable of displaying prc files, but if Bookeen drops prc support, the BeBook is AFAIK the only E-Ink reader left to support prc.

prc is still THE best selling format of my titles, but within this very first month, epub came in strong. Looks like the next Cybook firmware update will be some sort of turning point.

No there is the Kindle, and I think that Mobipocket and Amazon have nothing to think about the Gen3 since they have the Kindle.

So it's really for real, Bookeen made an ePub version? I really hope that it will support Mobi and ePub for the public firmware... (The book series I read actually is only available in mobi and I doubt that it will be available in an other format one day...)
