Before I talk about my ereader, I need to comment on cleaning my computer:

I purchased something here in Peru called "Glitter." It worked great on the screen and keyboard. You see, there was a buildup of cooking grease due to the fact that my computer was located on the kitchen table for a very long time, before we finally purchased a desk for the study. And when our maid prepares meals (this is not what you may think - almost all the middle class have maids), much of her cooking is done by frying. My computer had a very heavy build-up of grease mingled with the Peruvian desert dust. Glitter cleaned it perfectly.

Getting to my ebook Reader, I'm not a person who handles or touches the screen area much, but I'm sure that Glitter - say, in order to remove a small "snot spot" (think of that as an unexpected sneeze - hahahaha) - would work wonders.

On the few times I've actually cleaned my Reader, I take some very, very soft toilet paper (unscented, of course!) and get one spot wet with water and then rub the small area on the screen in a circular motion. This has always worked fine, and this was before Glitter. Your post has made me curious, but I'm sure this product would work great on my Reader.

Glitter is some kind of gel silicone (siliconado) substance that is blue in color.

I have personally melted plastic trying to remove a UPC label using acetone. I would not recommend this.

WDE.
