looks like the used 500s are still of very high value to ebay bidders. I am still on my long wait for a reasonably priced 500, but in the mean time maybe I will try to dip the jetbook in white paint haha.
Anyway is there any customizer that works with 500s?

I've also had both. I'll second what others have said here: the display on the 505 is substantially better. The unit feels better in the hands. All in all, a much more enjoyable reading experience.
