File crashes my 505

I was excited to see the Factbook posted for download, but I've been having a problem with my file. I downloaded nrapallos lrf version, but every time I try to open the file my reader diplays the "formatting" animation for a few seconds and then my reader restarts. I've tried storing the file reader's memory, and the SD card with the same results. I am, however, able to read the file with Calibre with no problem. Any thoughts?

Sorry, but I didn't have a Sony PRS to test it out BEFORE I posted that .lrf conversion. It's been removed now, so hopefully others will not experience the same frustations you have gone through.

I know that my reader's .imp format cannot handle too many hyperlinks within an ebook and will crash the eBookwise 1150 even though the PC viewer displays it just fine.

I guess it's an inherent limitation with the ebook reader hardware; cannot support every complex and resource-taxing ebooks.

No need to remove it. The solution to that problem is to use eBook Library to move the file to the Reader. It would then already b formatted and the Reader would have no need to format and it would work.

Don't use Calibre to move it to your Reader. Use eBook Library so it's preformatted.

Sorta worked . . .

I was able to import and read WFB using the Sony Library software, but my reader started acting a bit funny. The links in the book seemed to work OK, but after I increased the font and went to a map page, the battery indicator and the font size icon on my reader disappeared. Most suprisingly, my reader stopped flashing black when I turned pages. The text sorta faded out and in during a page turn. I removed the SD card with WFB on it and shut off the reader using the power switch, but the icons and flashes were still missing after restarting. I then did the "device shutdown" under the advanced settings tab and now everything seems to be back to normal. At this point I think I'll just do without it, though I do appreciate the efforts people have put into the conversion.

one could convert the file,or recreate it for lrf.
When recreated, the file should work perfectly, since 500 pages aren't that overburdening to the Sony reader. If one thing, it might be adding all the pictures
