Honestly I think that Microsoft wants to see by 2019 the headline "Google forced into bankruptcy" and they fear that they will see the headline "massive OS sales downturn force Microsoft to ask for bailout money"

So I would take anything they put out as "future" with a huge grain of salt...

The future is going strong against their current business model and they are rightly scared...
