I agree about the white, I hope its closer to the renders they have but a bit darker case. The sony reader looks really nice in my opinion, something minimalist like that, maybe black or dark grey. Why does it take so long to release these things anyways?

Agree with the comments on the renders. My issue with white is if you take it outside to read and it's sunny the white can be a little too bright and distracting. It also just comes across as an ipod wannabe, which the kindle has already done. A nice charcoal color would be good or like Sony provide some color options.

There was a company rep posting here in the original thread so they are probably continuing to monitor the forums. Hopefully they'll take the feedback and implement some of the suggestions.

I don't like page turning on this device.
You have to wipe your finger over plastic every time - unattractive to say the least.

Does look like it's a touch sensitive area though. Should be someway to just tap the left or right arm of the cross to page flip ... hopefully ...

Very similar to the iRex reader. They are capacitive buttons so should just be a light swipe. I actually like the swipe process since it's too easy to just accidentally touch the capacitive controls.

I especially like how its designed to be right and left handed, I prefer to have the controls on the right even though all the renders and demos have it on the left. That's a pretty thoughtful design on their part. Now release it already!!!

I would agree. This is probably the first one really designed around the user preference as opposed to the user adapting to how the reader functions.

One thing that it didn't seem to do though was change the swipe direction with the orientation. For example, when he was holding it in portrait mode he was making a left to right motion to turn to the next page. however, when you turned it to landscape mode he was making a top to bottom motion to turn to the next page.

I would submit that the slider should re-orient also so that you can still swipe right to left to turn the page in landscape mode as well.

I would agree Bob and I would also like to see the swipe direction be configurable via software. Seems it would be a relatively minor thing to implement.

If the translation is accurate, they'll be offering an SDK, so we could see all kinds of new implementations of use. The Txtr just gets more and more sweet with every new bit of information.

Wow that changes screens fast. And did I see it running an animation of a mandelbrot set or something? And changing to landscape just by turning it on its side; way cool.
