Absolutely.

However, I think it's often an indicator for a political process and/or literary quality.

Have you tried here? http://www.usask.ca/english/faulkner/ - it's a hypertext of The Sound and the Fury. I've used Calibre to create a fairly simple epub - not sure about copyright though. Any comments?

She's a bit of an acquired taste as are many of our Southern writers, but IMHO her short stories (I don't know her novels) are excellent. There's a major new biography just out. I read the review in the NYTBR a week or two ago and decided to look at it when our local library acquires it. It's priced at $16.50 for the Kindle, which I consider too high.
