Thanks for the input / feedback guys!

I'm working on a redesign actually, that should be a bit thinner, but with more rounded corners (rounded corners disperse an impact better), and perhaps a hinge free design.

So here's option two. A lot slimmer, a lot smaller, not as svelte looking though.
